A very low budget and at times amateurish production, but that is not always a bad thing. The Death of Snow White leans into its limitations in a way that gives it a strange charm. I actually enjoyed the dark fantasy take, and the theatre like vibe made it feel more like a twisted stage play than a typical glossy fairy tale movie. It felt scrappy and weird in a way that was at least interesting, even when the acting or effects did not quite land. You can tell a lot of it was made with passion rather than money, and that goes a long way here. Some scenes really worked because they were willing to be moody, grim, and a little unhinged instead of trying to look slick. It was not always polished, but it had a personality, which is more than you can say for a lot of bigger productions. And honestly, it was still a better Snow White movie than that Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot flop. At least this one tried something different instead of feeling like a bland studio product. ๐Ÿ˜‚
