The Duchess - Comments & Tips

The Duchess is a good production with a great cast and photography. Yet, I still don''t know what made it such a poor waste of time. The dialogues seem to be all the same and it didn''t give me any reasons to turn my computer on and praise it somehow. To be honest, I only watched it for Keira Knightley.

How is this even PG13? More like R rated, gore, big NO NO on this waste of time This is disgusting

predictable story, but very good execution.

I wasn't expecting to like this but I found myself intrigued with the story of the Duchess. If you're interested in history and monarch related figures you'll enjoy this quite a bit.

If only men like that were a thing of the past.

I must correct the descriptions of this film, lest people avoid it or seek to watch it expecting something else. I enjoyed the film despite its tragic tone. But there is no gore, and the main character is not into kinky violent sex. In fact, no one in the entire film objects to her extravagant living, for they are all living in the same fashion.

'"..I want to marry you, I want you to bear my children and I do not care if they are boys or girls..'"

All the characters are unlikable and you can’t feel any sympathy for any of them. What a waste of time.
