The Evil Within - Comments & Tips
That was awesome. Takes a bold and fresh take on a well worn story. It''s more impressive with it having such a problematic production. Looking at the scores and reviews blows my mind, the shit people talk... I guarantee, with time this will gain quite a following and reputation.
A real curio. Directed by the late Andrew Getty, grandson of JP Moneybags himself, this isn''t a great film - the script is weak; the depiction of mental illness is borderline offensive - but the visuals are great, and despite the jumbled and protracted development phase, there is still some semblance of a decent narrative. I turned the film off after twenty minutes on my first viewing attempt, but after learning of Getty''s life, and after reading more on the making of this odd film (see below), I returned to the film with renewed curiosity. Worth a watch then, but it''s unlikely to attract cult status. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/mar/14/the-evil-within-horror-movie-andrew-getty-millionaire-meth
It has some good parts, but the writing is not great. The cinematography is also a little bit weird, at times it kind of reminds me off those softcore thriller movies I used to sneak-watch in the evening as a teen, I was fully expecting there to be some "The Room" quality love making scenes in here ๐ Some of the dialogue is very awkward and almost like dream-logic. This is a movie I will never bother re-watching, but fun to have checked it off the list.
Mala .. Es muy narrativa.. Y nada de terror
