The Head Hunter - Comments & Tips
what a complete f*** waste of time..
This is a simple story, told in a slow but beautiful fashion. The production design is really fantastic for such a low budget title. This also means action is offscreen (audio only) except for the finale which is kinda underwhelming with the limited tools the budget gives. Fans of everthing Viking 'amp; horror might like this however, or even aspiring filmmakers to see what you can achieve with such a budget.
Probably the best movie I''ve seen this year.
I liked the look and atmosphere of this film, but the story/character wasn''t developed enough. In the end felt as though it needed something more
The film is not bad, just remove from memory the last scene that makes sense like a beardless Viking, for the rest if you have nothing to do it can be slightly better than watching TV off, whats a waste of a good actor
No budget or what not, but what were they trying to achieve here? Complete waste of time.
This movie is pure grade A.ASS
This was a lot better than expected. I went into this expecting a brutal, violent, action-packed horror but what I got is a slow survival/revenge tale instead. But I'm incredibly impressed by how compelling this film actually is. There's a lot to admire in this low-budget effort. The story while minimal works incredibly well and what it lacks in action makes up for overbearing sense of dread and alluring atmosphere of the period it is set in. It does feel like a short film that is stretched out to fit a feature length, but for me its 72-minute runtime is still tolerable. This obviously wonโt work for everyone but I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for a slow-burn revenge story.
Low budget horror movie. Basically the budget went on costumes design and monster heads. It's very slow paced, hinting at a final battle against a mysterious monster (that doesn't repay the wait, unfortunately). Nice photography and Christopher Rygh is quite the sexy viking, at least.
Its a good movie. i describe it as a minimalist atmospheric horror. Its a different approach to the genre,
most of the action happens off screen, and stays for you to imagine it
, i think is because of the low budget (30,000 us dollars), but that is what made the different approach happen, we look more at the result of the hunt,
than the hunt itself
, the scenarios, the characterization of everything and the atmosphere are well made i think its worth your while, it is not a perfect movie, i think it could be improved, but its good
Do not waste your time on this movie.
I canโt say anything bad about this film. My expectations were met and I was entertained to say the least. And that ending... whoa!
One of my favorite movies, very good
Like a gorgeous dessert, this is incredibly rich but there is no meat. Clocking in at 70 minutes, this isn''t longer than it needs to be, and the costumes, prosthetics and set design are unbelievably good. Unfortunately, showing a man who has to protect his forest from monsters without showing him protecting his forest from monsters demonstrates a regrettable lack of funds. That and the absence of story in the slog of exposition remove many teeth from this movie. So, while Headhunter won''t satisfy your carnal desires, it is truly a feast for the eyes.
