What a shame Tolkien never got the chance to see a better adaptation.

It''s a horrible adaptation but an interesting slice of history. As mangled as the story is, it has a uniquely enjoyable charm to it, particularly due to the artwork. The narrator is phenomenal and gives the story a lot of life as well. I guess I''m just surprised that I didn''t hate it. It seems kind of cool to me and I''m sad that people aren''t able to appreciate it for what it is.
