Poland, 1945. Mathilde, a young French Red Cross doctor, is on a mission to help the war survivors. When a nun seeks for her help, she is brought to a convent where several pregnant sisters are hiding, unable to reconcile their faith with their pregnancy. Mathilde becomes their only hope.

While, thankfully, not a true this was an excellent film filled with honest storytelling and sentiment. The casting and acting was really well done. This is not an enjoyable film to watch but it is worth the time.

Excelente fotografia. Roteiro triste porém envolvente do início ao fim. competência na direção. Otimo time de atores.Para quem gosta de drama , está entre os melhores que já vi.Aos que gostam de cinema comercial e fugas, não aconselho.Em resumo filme de arte pra quem aprecia arte pura.
