literally just watch Palm Springs, the same thing but way better
The overriding tone (reflected in the music) of this movie has a haunting, mystical quality. The story arc continually cycles towards finding the perfect moments. The casting choices work for that theme, Margaret moves Mark towards the perfect things in their repeating day but then the movie fell apart for me. The time loop resolution has no internal logic. Margaretโs journey is emotionally resolved opening her up to hope with Mark and the future, but the attempt to explain the science (why of the loop and the how of its conclusion) make little to no sense, which kind of frustrated me as the credits rolled. I give this movie a 6 (fair) out of 10. [SciFi Mysterious Drama]
It's a time loop movie, there's other movies out there with the same theme, there's TV shows and written fiction. Of course some of the plot elements have been used by others, Stargate SG-1's "Window of Opportunity" was pretty close.
Characters have some fun with the loop, spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to get out of the loop, have some nice heartfelt moments, exit the loop. Duh.
So in the end thinking worse of the movie because of that doesn't feel logical at all. I can't dock points for that. In the end I liked it, it wasn't boring in its predictability, it was cute and heartfelt with actors that weren't stiff or dumb as planks. Definitely no ultimate masterpiece, but I'll probably watch it again with some popcorn.
Everybody here telling people to watch Palm Springs instead... why not watch both. This movie is good, but it''s not a comedy. Don''t miss out on entertainment because Palm Springs is better. This is a well executed run of the mill Romance/Drama movie in a time loop setting.
This is like the emotional version of Palm Springs. First half of the movie is just fine, the second half dives into strong emotional themes, and really when I should have bailed. If you''re not into the touchy-feely type of movie, don''t waste you''re time ... I realize now I should have figured that out from the poster. Damn it, I always get tricked by pseudo sci-fi films. It''s like the third time this year!
I enjoyed it. Fun, emotional. Characters were all likeable, and the acting was great. Doesn't need to be compared to other time loop movies - it's a good movie in its own right. Honestly, exactly what I was looking for in this moment.
I know, I know - another movie in the Groundhog Day sub-genre. They all try to have a different twist on it and some actually succeed. While there are some of the philosophical questions raised in that film they don't spend too much time in that area as its been done before (you won't see anyone driving into a quarry with a groundhog at the wheel). This movie works because the leads are perfectly cast and have fantastic chemistry. I didn't want to like it as much as I did but it sucked me in. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies.com
wow wow wow! what a nice take an the groundhog day theme. its a wonderful indie teen feel good movie with a nice twist and a beautiful ending.
A very clichรฉd and predictable movie. The film seems cyclical (literally), every ten minutes they stop to have '"'"philosophical'" conversations. Margaret can be pretty boring at times and her plot was obvious. The film ends '"without'" an explanation of what caused and what ended the looping (was it the love between two people who had never seen each other before? overcoming a big loss? maybe I missed the point). But in the end it comes out like a cute movie, that''s all.
This was another new unique look at living within a time-loop ala Groundhog Day.
we start off with our main character already in the middle of the loop and seeing everything he has learned over time. Then, long-story-short, we realize we''ve actually been following the wrong character, that he is just a secondary character.
Overall a good watch. How I rate: 1-3  = seriously! don''t waste your time 4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8  = I expect you will like this too 9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

Premise - 15/20 - Another Groundhog Day scenario? I'm all in. Why not see how different types of people handle the same situation? Cast/characters - 17/20 - Kyle Allen (The Inbetween) is proving to be a very charming lead, and Kathryn Newton (Freaky) is wonderful again. The characters were nuanced and were developed well. Plot - 18/20 - The developing friendship between the two characters took more of a front seat in this movie than the comedy focus of Groundhog Day. The story of finding all of the good things that were happening while no one else is watching was a fantastic idea. The ending was very satisfying. Dialogue - 15/20 - The banter between the leads around the deeper conversation pulls in the viewer. Their drive to understand each other was laid out well. Despite the fact that conversations often get repeated in this premise, I enjoyed the dialogue. Setting - 15/20 - The little town was explored thoroughly, and it was pleasant to see all the different details as the characters played out their ideas. 80/100 - 4/5 stars - The leads have great chemistry, the supporting characters are charming, and the plot is wonderful. I'm really glad I landed on this movie to watch.
Great watch, would watch again, and do recommend. After seeing "Palm Springs" and "Happy Death Day(s)" take such silly (and murderous) approaches to a time loop it is sort of relieving to see a sweet sort of more serious love story. I really liked that they took the introspective aspect of a time loop story and pointed out into the world, exploring what it is that makes their town and trying to find the "perfect" moments of their day. We'd be lucky to get to experience these sort of moments once a day, but the ridiculous level that they run this to is great, and it is funny without being silly. If you like the concept of a time loop, and/or a good, if potentially heavy, love story, then definitely give this a shot.
**This idea has been repeated in many films, but it remains my favorite genre** The story of the film is about a young man named Mark who lives his life like the movies that tell about the repetition of one day until 12 o'clock in the morning, the same day comes again with the same events. The film explains about Mark's dealings with the situations that are repeated on this day, helping people to avoid exposure to bad situations that they may be exposed to. The film did not discuss the details of why it was exposed, why this particular day is repeated, because the idea of the film was repeated in many other similar films, which are almost countless because of its abundance, so the director decided to enter into the idea of the film directly. After living countless days in this way, Mark encounters a young woman named Margaret who has the same phenomenon, which is a phenomenon that is repeated today, so he admires her and they live a love story between them. Mark and Margaret decide to take advantage of this day to get the perfect moments that guarantee them happiness on this day and that give them positive energy and make them happy on this repeated day. The movie, in my opinion, is wonderful and this is my favorite genre, despite the repetition of the movie's story in many other similar films. The only negative thing about the movie is the pace of the movie was slow. The events were slow, and the director should have used the idea of the film to build events that attract audiences, such as making more comedic scenes or creating more exciting side stories. The romantic scenes were wonderful, especially the scene of Mark giving a NASA helmet gift to Margaret. Their relationship was not very close because of Margaret's fear of losing her sick mother. 8/10
