When you pay for an S'amp;M dominant, but they end up teaching you an interesting lesson instead... _The Testament_ is a sort of _Schindler's List_ for intellectuals. It details the true story of a search for the mass grave of Jewish victims to Austrian nazis in 1945 before the local government can literally and figuratively cover it up for land development. While searching, a Jewish historian uncovers truths of his own and must decide what price is too high to pay for integrity. The theme is definitely a heartbreaking one, but the subject receives such an academic treatment that few tears will be spilt during the screening. But the plot twist that ends the first act and some solid filming make _The Testament_ a worthy watch.
