Tin Man - Comments & Tips

I thought it was like a made for TV movie after school special ...until there was nudity. The streaming copy I watched on TV was very low quality; obviously from videotape. [spoiler]Casey's creation, "Osgood" is basically Google (or Siri, or Alexa) which was interesting and perhaps remarkable for a film from the early 80's.[/spoiler] The pacing was wonky, where some key plot points took ages to develop and others seem to happen quite quickly. Marcia's dialogue seems like it was written by a middle schooler and delivered as such. Still, the premise is fascinating. I wonder if this concept was ever remade or rebooted or refashioned in some way. Probably so. I've struggled if this should be a six or a five. Timothy bottoms heartfelt performance is the highlight of the movie so a five just doesn't seem right. Yet the pacing, the dialogue and some of the other performances drag it down.
