Overview

The last big screen effort by the great Ermanno Olmi, _Torneranno i prati_ is a war film against war, precisely as one would expect from the director. With its sombre, cold and disarming tone, this medium-length film is yet another attempt to bring the horrors and madness of trench warfare to the big screen. Delicate and with an unshakeable moral, the great Italian director leaves us with yet another delightful gem to treasure.
