Meat Kills - Comments & Tips
Easily one of the best slashers of the 2020s. The last time a slasher made me feel this satisfied was The Hunt (2020). The themes and stories are different, but the tone feels strikingly similar. The underlying message is especially strong: bad people are bad, but people with “good” intentions can be even worse deep inside. The most innocent-looking person can become the most dangerous when family is involved. Associating with the wrong people can get you killed even if you haven’t done anything wrong yourself. In this world, there’s no single true predator. Every predator can become prey to someone stronger. Power keeps shifting, and no one is ever truly safe.
When they pump a shell into a double barrel shotgun on 3 separate occasions 😭
It’s a dutch movie, so even low expectations are too high. Then again, it’s a nice change to all those WW2, RomComs and kids movies that they make here.
Ce n’est de la art mais du cochon.
