We Met in December - Comments & Tips

I love Autumn Resser!! Great movie!!

Autumn Reeser and Niall Matter star in _We Met in December_; a Hallmark take on _Serendipity_. During a layover two strangers have a magical night together, but when they try to find each other again a series of mishaps keeps them apart. Both Reeser and Matter give strong performances and have good chemistry together. Also, the script does a nice job at balancing the A story of the two lovers searching for each other with the B story flashback of their night together; making them feel like a couple and getting the audience invested in their romance. And the film has a nice message about living in the now and the roles people play in our lives. Charming and fun, _We Met in December_ is a lovely holiday treat.

Caveat, so, it's a Hallmark movie. Two of my favourite Hallmark actors although I have loved Niall in Eureka and Motive before he moved to become a Hallmark favourite. As such they have really nice chemistry together The romance scenes take place in the beautiful historic Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa, Canada. These old CP hotels are elegantly decorated for christmas. The 'search' the lead characters go on was interesting. The scenes at the hotel were loving and gentle - really sweet (The musical arrangement was nice and I don't really notice this in these films) Hallmark movie rating 8/10 Regular movie rating 6.5/10
