Wolf and Dog - Comments & Tips

[Göteborg FF '23] The script by Cláudia Varejão and Leda Cartum describes the characters through accurate dialogues, but also through sequences without dialogues that describe a certain lack of concern of young bodies in the face of a reality that imprisons them, not only physically but especially emotionally: "I want so much that what I want does not fit on this island." Their youth defines them as a contrast to a traditional environment, compared to the tanned skins of the old fishermen and the religiosity that they accept without respect. There is no direct confrontation, but there is a latent discomfort in the face of a non-binary representation. It is a film that watches in a more painful way than it seems.
