The Chair Company - Comments & Tips

Much like Tim Robinson's sketch comedy, this show has high highs and low lows. Some of the jokes are legitimately great, but some are obnoxious. When will Tim learn that screaming isn't funny? Nitpicks aside, this show is best enjoyed with a little THC. Or a lot. It's probably best to not read too much about it, just buckle up and hit play. It's a unique comedy/drama, with occasional horror elements. Overall I give it 8/10 for being unique and witty. It had potential to be a 9 or 10 if it weren't for the obnoxious screaming in every episode.

Is this supposed to be comedy? Each episode is just nonsense and boring with zero humour. I like a wide variety of humour from sitcoms like Big Bang Theory all the way to Trailer Park Boys but this is just garbage tv

Comments full of people who don’t get Tim Robinson, whining about his style; to each their own I guess. Personally I think his writing and his comedy are absolutely brilliant. Idk what else to say, three episodes in and it’s already one of the most surreal, funny and mysterious shows I’ve watched in a very long time, can’t wait for the next episode. If you can’t appreciate the creativity unfolding here, maybe just stick with The Big Bang Theory or How I Met Your Mother instead.

Show is Brilliant. Far superior to his shows on Netflix. Mysterious, Quirky, soul-crushing, and every episode ratchets up the tension making the audience want to find out what happens next.

Got to episode 6 hoping I would find out if was enjoyable after all. But it to me it's just bland, boring, strange and the plot makes no real sense.

Another hit and miss lolsorandom reddit-tier load of bollocks from that guy. I put off watching it as I gave up on his last show after one season, but everyone said this thing was a masterpiece so I eventually caved. Don't bother with it.

Lots of scenes are weird just for the sake of being weird, with no apparent relevance to the plot (or humor) . It's like they're just brain farts derived during bowel movements.

Overall, The Chair Company season 1 was hilarious but I’m bummed they didn’t wrap up any of the plot points. Lot of characters had some really good lines and let other people shine besides Tim Robinson. Some hilarious situations he’s put in. It went full cabin fever mode towards for the finale which was fun and goofy but I was a bit let down they threw any plot progression away. Better mix of I Think You Should Leave humor with the dark of Friendship. I’m glad they’re doing a season 2 but I will have to keep in mind there is no point. Show and season 1 rated an 8.

The wheelbarrow incidents in their entirety are the funniest part of the episode. Looking forward to next week.

It's OK, but nothing special. The last episode wraps everything up nicely with a little twist.

I'm not sure who this show is for. The protagonist is an obnoxious, loud and erratic soy male; The show makes no effort to make him appealing or relatable The amount of random unprompted screaming really stopped me from continuing the show. I'm guessing it's supposed to be funny, instead it makes the character all the more obnoxious to bare. Painful to watch, even though I dropped it. I'd very much like to forget the show in a few days because remembering anything from it makes me cringe

After the first two episodes I think that could really be a pretty good show. Looking forward to the next episodes!

This show is ok. Laughed a few times but also found some of the “jokes” really flat. The main guy and the story is a bit too over the top and irrational.

All the screaming, over acting, weirdness and (lack of) comedy all made sense when I found out both writers came from modern SNL and grew up watching Disney/Nickelodeon shows. Two episodes were enough for me.

Sometimes, things are more funny than good. This is one of those times.
