Free Bert - Comments & Tips
Yo, this show is actually funny, if you like stupid shit, which I do. Not a big Bert guy, but colour me pleasantly surprised. Maybe a case of less is more: 6 episodes + the short runtime = a jolly good time. I will say I had a little trouble hearing the youngest daughter at times. Either she's mushmouthed or I'm losing my hearing:person_shrugging:
Update Bert's page. this future looking quote "He is slated to appear in The Machine, a comedy film based on his life." is about a movie released 3, yes, THREE years ago
Hacía tiempo que no me reía tanto con una serie. Todo un acierto el formato breve y con pocos episodios. Dadle una oportunidad. Su humor es muy específico y vulgar, pero aún así los gags son buenos.
I thought this was a pretty funny show. Mindless, low brow humor. I'm assuming it's been down rated because it's not appealing to the woke crowd that hangs out here.
I have a weird relationship to Bert Kreischer. I consider him something of a version of me in a Sliding Doors adjacent universe. I've been the college party guy with an exceptionally micro-celebrity status. I've listened to so many hours of his podcast that I know he's low-key more intelligent and curious than he's often given credit for. I know he's deeply sincere in similar "problematic" ways, which are so brilliantly depicted in the series. I see this and I appreciate the focus. I like that he's been able to translate precisely what my intuition about him has been in the relationships he's cultivated. I like the non-melodramatic journey through owning yourself in spite of competing pressures and latent desires. He's not trying to be too self-aware. He's not trying to overly celebrate pathology. He's just as hard and fast as he is as a person, for better or worse, and asking you to see and accept it. He's, genuinely, something of my spirit animal and this series deepened my sense of kinship. Good work, dude.
This show is funny. Yes it's a MUST-WATCH!
