The story follows an office worker who gets thrown into a parallel world where his usually cold colleague is suddenly warm and affectionate. It’s a creative concept, and the soft, dreamy cinematography really nails that surreal feeling. But honestly, because this is a short-form web series, it feels way too brief to actually make sense of the world-building. Trying to cram a multiverse concept into such short episodes makes the plot feel messy and rushed at times. Kotaro Daigo and Daisuke Nakagawa have a natural chemistry, and I actually liked that the side characters stayed in the background—it kept the focus where it belonged. But I wanted more. Their connection is subtle, yet you can feel the tension, even when the logic of the parallel worlds starts to fall apart under the pressure of the limited runtime. It’s a strange, beautiful little series that leaves you with more questions than answers, but the main pair makes the confusing journey worth the watch. If they just had a full-length television slot to breathe instead of these quick web episodes, this could have been something truly special.
