Marc Maron: Panicked - Comments & Tips
Ah, I get it... I've always wondered what his personality was and I get it now. He's the contra-Bill Burr. Bill Burr comes out and insults liberals then spends the whole time being "not a liberal". Marion comes out and insults "not liberals" then makes fun and shows the stupidity of being liberal for the whole time. I guess it's a case of knowing your audience and then being much smarter than them such that they don't even realise that they're actually just robots who recite soundbites they heard or read. Anyway... Is Maron side-slitting funny? No and he never has been. He's humorous and decent company for 70 minutes. You might not agree with everything but it's a workman comedian ploughing his trade. Fair play to him for that.p
Marc it's called the Serbian squat (aka Slav squat)
Going into Marc Maron: Panicked without knowing anything about him turned out to be a great surprise. The set was sharp, clever, and walked the political line without ever feeling overbearing or preachy. Instead, Maron leaned into wit and perspective, delivering humor that stuck. Itโs the kind of special that makes you want to immediately dig into the rest of his work, and I definitely will. Rating: 4/5 โ 85% โ Would Recommend
