Rogue Heroes - Comments & Tips
Very good series, the story plods a bit in places but overall quite impressed. They definitely went with a Guy Ritchie style to this which mostly works but the slotting in of rock music tracks every so often becomes immensely annoying and really breaks the immersion, that aspect just didn't work at all!
One of the best TV shows around. Brilliant.
Basically a war series fan, and this one’s just spot on — everything’s done right, from the cast and storyline to the soundtrack and all the graphic madness. Just proper sick, pure pleasure to watch. This shit’s bloody peak, I could run it back tomorra easy.

Masterpiece requires 2 things, good story and good storyteller. This has both.
Found this out of nowhere, thanx to YT shorts. I really enjoyed watching the first 2 seasons. I hope they make a third one.
Good stuff. Charismatic characters. Good stuff. Loved the ending of the first chapter. David Stirling is a blast to watch.
Excellent series!! Can’t want for season3. Paddy is a superb Irish character!
The only way I could describe it is "Dad porn". It's not terrible and it definitely has its market. Just not my cup of tea. I'll see how I feel and update my rating when I get around to S2.
Loved every minute of it! Really interesting to see how the SAS got created and I love the Guy Ritchie style in this. Fits perfectly with this group of soldiers.
You'll know after the first episode if that show is for you. Watched it over xmas, and I was so disappointed. Not my cup of tea, and I am a sucker for WWII related film/dramas.
Combine 'Band of Brothers' with Guy Ritchie, a tad of 'the A-Team', pour some AC/DC on it, have a great cast and tada, you have a synopsis of Rogue Heroes. Its fresh, it's good, it's over the top and it's based on true events? I love this.
This show is on HBO Max with all 6 episodes available now
Quite liked the show and having met Stirling's grandson and also heard a lot about the S.A.S. it was great watching how they got started during WWII. Now I'm interested in reading or listening to the book, which the show is based upon.
If you haven't watched this then give it a go,it is one of the best shows of the last few years, the acting is top notch especially the two main characters. You will also get a few laughs but the amazing thing is most of this stuff actually happened and shows how crazy paddy Maine and the SAS were.
[HBO Max] Although it sometimes uses elements that Steven Knight has used in "Peaky blinders", there is a sense of madness and rebellion that is especially fun, as the character development improves with the passing episodes. Although the special English force did nothing to turn the tide of the war in North Africa, its maverick character is put to good use in one of the most enjoyable series this year.
Fantastic show! I love a good historical show, I love a good historic military account and this show nails both! This is a must-watch, just a fantastic show that is almost too unbelievable to be true, yet it is! While they admittedly take a couple (and only a couple) minor creative licenses in this, it makes you see just how bad ass the SAS were in World War II and how they set the tone for special forces operators across the globe.
Excellent show, up to high British standards :ok_hand_tone2:
This is absolutely binge-worthy. A brilliantly produced show about the beginnings and early missions of the now world-famous British SAS. :fire: PS: I'm getting a strong The A-Team + Hangover vibe from this one.:thumbsup_tone2:
Not like the BBC to make something worth watching, but for once they have pulled it off.Nice to watch the origins of the best soldiers in the world...the SAS.
