It addresses the intervention of French troops in the Sahel that apparently has not been covered much in film and television, but in reality it does so like any other conventional proposal by Western soldiers in Africa. There is the usual kidnappings of a journalist and the collateral victims, in a succession of commonplaces that are sustained by lazy writing. It tries to introduce reflections on the role of the French armed forces in Mali, but ultimately turns the soldiers into saviors of a population that doesn't accept them, in a proposal that, in the end, remains colonial.
