Space: Above and Beyond - Comments & Tips

Loved watching this in the mid-90s!

This is definitely one I'd love to see them do a reboot on. As is, it's peak 90's sci-fi. Up there with Babylon 5 in terms of quality. Just wish Fox didn't act like Fox and cancel it.

It's pretty clear, several episodes in, why this show was cancelled. The producers have a number of obvious ambitions which their efforts fail in several ways to achieve. Episodes seem rushed; plots, scripts, acting 'amp; characterisation are cliched, portrayals often wooden and one-dimensional. The effects are sub-standard, even allowing for their era, the 1990s. It's something of a shame, because there is clearly potential in the basic scenario, which has similarities to 'The Forever War' novel by Joe Haldeman.

Watching this for the first time in 2023. This show fell in a blind spot in my past and I missed it. This is still great! The writing, directing, and acting hold up! It would be great to see a reboot of this with modern FX.

I wish they'd do a reboot of this with the team that did The Expanse. Even after all these years top 3 sci-fi show I've ever seen.

I wish I could find this streaming somewhere.

I check regularly to see if this show is streaming anywhere. I never have any luck.
