The Peripheral - Comments & Tips

I really enjoyed this premise but am very sad to see that the show has been cancelled due to the writers strike currently going on. Hoping that this show is picked up again by someone to finish the story. I wouldn’t bother starting this show and watch it since you’ll never get closure on the storylines.

WTF, again another canceled Scifi show? This is disgusting. This madness has to end. Fucking producers steal our time and leave us with cliffhangers.

Great sci-fi show all around. Good visuals, acting, plot, action. Well paced. Nice to see red necks portrayed as smart bad a$$es for once! Can’t wait for season 2.

[Prime Video] Has elements too similar to "Westworld" but less attention-grabbing. In the first part, the characters are well introduced and it creates a mystery that is interesting, but as it develops, it seems that it never ends up specifying its path, as if it were thinking more about the next season than the current one. And we discover an artifice wrapped in a sci-fi fantasy that is actually profoundly empty, even with characters taking center stage only to play secondary roles as the story unfolds.

First episode was very promising, but it was all downhill and wated potential from there. Bland, boring, and increasingly uninteresting with every episode. A real shame.

Four episodes in and so far I've nodded off during every one....yawn!

Cool Concept, too bad the show kinda sucks.

A refreshing departure from the typical formulaic Sci-Fi, and it seems like it may go somewhere special. Do yourself a favour and check it out if you haven't already.

Read the book some years ago. As far as I can remeber the show is near that. I liked it. Solid 8. Read the book! Its a really good one from Gibson.

Weak sauce! Don't get fooled by the first episode, it starts good...really good I have to say, but then it goes into free fall. Had potential but it turned into a waste of time.

What a great pilot episode and a good surprise from Amazon Prime! The storyline is captivating and effects are great! So far so good :100:

Starts well but by episode 3 its over complicated and dragging, episode 4 it gets really boring and I dont care anymore. Pity really as its from such a good book.

They should have dropped all the unnecessary subplots and drama and made it into a two hour movie

A nice one for the Sci-Fi lovers. It has nice quality CGI with fine story. Recommended. 7.5/10

Another good show from Amazon. So far some of my favorite shows are from Amazon, Reacher, Thr Boys, The terminal List, Jack Ryan, Wheel of Time and Rings of Power. The Peripheral just become one of those. Based on a great sci fi book and with good actors and a good adaptation (in my opinion). If you like sci fi and action don't miss it, at least the first two episodes were awesome.

I have to leave it... it's so complicated, it doesn't take a break to understand something and create interest In the third episode and I can not follow nor grow interest in any plot.

Watching this in VR adds an unsettling layer...
