[Initial Impression] A promising premise, poorly executed. It was as if the writer''s room brainstormed every possible hot-button social issue and then loaded it on to the central character, Tommy, which resulted in a person that gives no credence to the idea that this person worked her way through the system to her current rank or responsibility. On top of that it has no credibility as a police procedural (A Chief of Police with a one person security detail? No vetting of the people allowed to walk into her office? No chain of command surrounding her?). This series has to get a lot better, but I will let it breath a little before making my final decision, but based on this premiere, I give this series a 4 (bad) out of 10. [Cop Drama]

A fair run at a first season, with the usual challenges of trying to establish foundation. I'd say it had potential as a soft police drama, but likely got cancelled because it was far too "woke" and "progressive" for the "business" folk. The show wasn't perfect, but there are far worse (more docile) shows still airing.

Love, love, love this series already! Tommy is a badass character that we need to see leading a network series! I donโ€™t know what the person that gave it a 4 is talking about. Awesome pilot! Iโ€™m already completely sucked in.

I don't think I've ever watched something so uninteresting and dull. Putting the obvious issues aside, this show just isn't interesting or engaging to watch. Holy crap. I mean, there were a few momentary moments that weren't as bad as everything else, but that doesn't account to much. None of the characters (or actors) are compelling (to watch), even mildly. None of them are interesting. The plot isn't interesting. Nothing. Is. Interesting. The acting isn't that attention-grabbing. And the premise could've been so good. Not to mention, the potential for that to be the case WAS there. And it failed and was executed so terribly. Although, I doubt that was what the writers were going for, to begin with. They probably wanted to push agendas and have all these issues from a real-life standpoint at the forefront as much as possible rather than using the premise to entertain, and sticking to creating a show that is solely meant to be a fictional creation to entertain. That seems to be a growing and recurring theme within the entertainment industry. I don't see how any of that can be entertaining to some people, as I know it was with this show, perhaps to a lesser extent, and in general. Such things shouldn't be included in forms of entertainment, especially TV shows and movies, just for the sake of real-life political hearsay. Every form of entertainment should stick to what they exist for, and just that, entertaining. Of course, I doubt this occurrence of including such matters into forms of entertainment will subside anytime soon, if ever, which is unfortunate, to say the least. At most, I'd say this show was done better than Deputy, as far as the production value is concerned. The writers for that show must've spent most of their budget into the paychecks for the cast, specifically, and especially, Stephen Dorff. But Deputy was, at the very least, somewhat enjoyable to watch. Suffice it to say, that isn't a good thing. I'm not surprised this show was canceled.
