Unsolved Mysteries - Comments & Tips
Where is Volume 5 (4)?
Whoever made the decision to have Season 1 have two volumes within it, and call Season 2 Volume 3 and call Season 3 Volume 4 can kick rocks
Unsolved Mysteries is a reboot of the 1980s documentary of the same name for Netflix. In each episode, an unsolved criminal case is presented and the audience is asked for help at the end. "Unsolved Mysteries" really appealed to me as a mysteries fan. Of course, the cases are not all equally interesting, but in each case I asked myself the question "What could have happened?". While some mysteries are boring and have no place in the format in my opinion, that's just personal preference. I'm looking forward to the next season! Update: I personally find Season 3 very bad. There was only 1 episode that addressed any real mystery and the rest were pretty obvious.
A fairly well-executed reboot by Netflix. Most episodes are not as naive as comparable TV programs.
A really sinister feeling to this docu-series, covering some horrific and truly mystifying deaths and disappearances. Some episodes really do make you wonder who’s out there and how things can actually be possible. They really do need to cut out the paranormal and mythical episodes though, they just don’t have the same level of solidity as the concrete “this person was murdered/disappeared” episodes. A lot less about facts, a lot more about speculation and believing in unlikely sightings seen by a very select few people. But for those episodes, I’d rate the show a 9, or, if feeing generous, possibly even a 10.
