First Cdrama in fantasy disappointed with lack of pace in middle or meaningful battles.. rushed ending as well

This story was convoluted and confusing at times, however, it is still well worth watching. Excellent performance by Yang Yang who stole the show. Zhao Lu Si was wonderful, as always. Many moving parts that kept me guessing what was going to happen next. Lots of tense and intensely satisfying moments. The love story was well written, and every time YY and ZL were on the screen they were mesmerizing. All-in-all, I really enjoyed this drama which had me laughing, crying, and on the edge of my seat numerous times. Would definitely watch it again. Highly recommend.
