that is not a show title, its a whole synopsis.

This series gives off big Shield Hero and Overlord energy. It starts with the main character appearing to have a “weak” gift, leading to his betrayal by his original party — who were testing whether he was secretly special. In this world, humans are considered the weakest race, adding an element of racial segregation and class prejudice that mirrors some real-world dynamics. After his betrayal, there's a time skip that unleashes the show’s best turn: he trains and fully unlocks his gift, which is far more powerful than anyone expected. He gains access to an Abyss realm he commands (much like Ainz’s domain in Overlord), and begins assembling a new party and power base from scratch. What’s interesting is that he’s starting to show signs of both a revenge-driven superiority complex and a potential savior arc. He’s not evil yet, but the decisions he makes from here on will clearly define whether he becomes a feared villain across all races or an unexpected hero. So far, this is a strong opener with great world-building and character potential. Definitely worth keeping up with.

Started off a bit weak but then kicked off into an interesting twist, saw the first episode and then I was like damn I want the next one to know what the hell will happen. Adding it to my watch list and hope it's as good as it started off.

Season two better come fast.

The story is simple but really entertaining to watch, much better than those wishy-washy anime.

A very average and edgy story, but the art reminded me of DanMachi and it has cute waifus too. I don’t really see a problem with a bit of a trashy story as long as it’s not outright boring slop, and so far it isn’t.

If you rate shows before they release a single episode, I hate you. ☺

This series hooks you immediately with a classic fantasy-revenge premise wrapped in a modern “gacha” twist. The setup—Light, a human betrayed by his party in the Abyss, surviving with a broken hope but a brokenly powerful gift called “Unlimited Gacha” that lets him recruit level‑9999 allies—offers a clear, satisfying throughline: rebuild, get stronger, and get even. It’s an attention‑grabbing concept that carries most episodes forward. Strengths Premise and stakes: The blend of betrayal, dungeon fantasy, and the gacha mechanic gives the show a distinct flavor among revenge/isekai-adjacent titles. It makes Light’s rise feel earned and keeps the core goal simple and motivating. Character moments: When the series slows to focus on Light’s relationships with the allies he summons, it finds some genuinely resonant beats—trust, manipulation, and the moral cost of power are touched on enough to be interesting. Production: With J.C.Staff listed among the studios, the series delivers competent, clean animation and serviceable action choreography. Voice performances on the Trakt page suggest a solid cast that sells both the dramatic and lighter moments. Weaknesses Familiar beats and predictability: The revenge arc and power-accumulation structure lean on well‑trodden genre tropes. Viewers who know similar anime (or light novels) will find some twists predictable and some setups unsurprising. Pacing and depth: Because the show tries to balance dungeon action, party politics, and worldbuilding in a 12‑episode run, a few supporting characters and larger world elements feel underexplored. That limits the emotional payoff for some conflicts. Tonal balance: At times the series struggles between gritty revenge drama and pulpy power‑fantasy spectacle, which can blunt the impact of either side when it leans too hard into the other. Verdict The show is entertaining and consistently watchable—its central hook is clever enough to carry it, and it earns multiple strong moments through character interactions and escalating stakes. It doesn’t reinvent the revenge-armor-and-power fantasy, and a little more focus on deeper worldbuilding and supporting cast development would have made it truly memorable. As a satisfying binge for fans of dungeon revenge stories and gacha-style power fantasy, it’s a solid 7/10.
