Ms. Incognito - Comments & Tips

« On s'attendait à un millefeuille, on a eu un dessert sans garniture. »  Ms. Incognito est un K-drama plutôt dans la moyenne, avec une intrigue principale prenante, qui donne envie d’aller jusqu’au bout de l’histoire. Mais malgré une base solide, l’exécution souffre de problèmes de rythme, d’incohérences, et surtout, d’un manque de singularité. L’univers manque cruellement de « couches » : des musiques et bruitages génériques, des personnages peu attachants aux backgrounds peu développés, des incohérences dans l’écriture de l’héroïne, des combats peu naturels, et sans compter l’alchimie très discutable entre les deux love interests. Mais même sans garniture, la fin vaut peut-être le détour ? Car la relation entre le directeur et sa garde du corps reste très touchante, et l’actrice qui joue l’amie, la vraie MVP, redynamise et porte l’histoire avec beaucoup de douceur et d’humour ! 3 dramas similaires et mieux construits que vous pourriez apprécier : Vincenzo (2021, Netflix), Mine (2021, Netflix), Little Women (2022, Netflix) À bientôt pour d’autres aventures à bord du K-Drama Station ! 🚃✨

The first 2 episodes + the opening are a bit clickbait-ish, the grim atmosphere gives a whole different idea of how the plot will go down, even the FL's personality is a lot different. The following episodes are like someone switched the lights on, but I ended up liking it a lot more actually. Once the FL embraces her diva persona, that's when the actress's charisma really shines, the animosity between the leads is so fun, plus the side characters are funny as well (except the horoscope guy, ngl). The villain has so much presence, when she has her head on the game, she's genuinely scary. The show lost me when it started to check every trope in crime dramas. Even though the FL says that she'll do anything to earn her inheritance, she never does anything that goes beyond the white scale of morality. Why is it so hard to find female protagonists who are morally gray? Anyways, good premise but it ended up being like any other rom-com.

Great show. Consistently great Cliff hangers at the end of each episode. Great writing great performances.

This was amazing, great acting across the board. The villainous role was really good too up there with the glory. This is something I'll be rewatching in the future

This show was all over the place and not in a good way. If you watched the first two episodes you'd think this is going to be good. But starting at episode three it went downhill for me. Though there were fun bits later on, it fell short at some times. It had a lot of promise for me and could have been better.
