How do you go from doing amazing marry my husband to subpar confidence queen. My least favorite work of hers

The drama features a supposedly “smart” female lead, but in practice, most of her schemes rely more on luck than strategy, and any of them could’ve easily gone wrong. The comedy is quite exaggerated and at times borders on the ridiculous. The main villain also deserved more attention; I think the story needed a few extra episodes to explore him better. Even though it’s not primarily a romance drama, it was clear that Gun Ho had feelings for Yi Ram, but that aspect was ultimately left aside. In the end, it’s a good drama to enjoy and pass the time, without any major ambitions.

Confidence Queen is the South Korean version of Confidence Man (Japan). They even use the exact story lines from some of the episodes in the Japanese version. Some of the cons are outrageous but frankly if you fall for them, then you deserve to be conned. The 3 central characters are funny and brilliant. I feel for Gu-ho who is always picked on by Yi-rang and James (sibling vibes). All the cons have a Yi-rang motive which leads to the final con and the showdown in the last episode. It looks like there will be a 2nd season which will be interesting to see how they move on from such an exhausting 5yr revenge plan in the 1st season.
