[IFFR'22] The director's proposal in her vision of the holocaust through poetic images is risky, perhaps too sinuous, and sometimes recalls the work of her compatriot Alexander Sokurov, but her intention to go deeper through visual representation in the psychology of the characters is not always successful. She reflects on guilt and the inability to be innocent in a violent environment, with a film that is beautifully sad and poetically somber, but narratively uneven.
