Professor Ayres discovers a secret in an ancient stone and when he opens a crypt, he revives zombies that kill him. He had invited three couples to visit him in his manor to reveal his discovery. However, they never get around to meeting the professor. Out of the blue, the zombies attack them and they seek shelter in the mansion.

Surprisingly good Italian zombie film with a creepy performance from Peter Bark. Great gore, satisfying kills and some, dare I say it, wonderful camera angles and compositions. Well paced throughout...but would really have preferred a more complete or satisfying conclusion. BTW, these are the slow type of zombies. The slowest...zombies...you...have......ever..........seen.

The zombies in this movie display more intelligence and cunning than what you see in other zombie movies, using objects and wepons to break into a home and trap people, where in other movies zombies are pretty much mindless and easily fooled.

Have you ever watched a Fulci zombie movie and thought "this needs to be worse on every level, but still be kind of watchable?" No? Too bad, this movie exists despite your standards.

Wow... Just... wow. And I don't mean that in a good way. Roll the dice and be prepared to lose big with this stinker. I watched this after seeing it mentioned in another review; the review had mentioned _Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror_ as being possibly the only movie that was gorier and more More
