After a doctor kills his mistress and himself while researching the mysterious previous owner of his Boston home, his colleague, Dr. Norman Boyle, takes over his research and moves his family from New York City to the Boston mansion. Soon after, Boyle's young son Bob becomes plagued by visions of a young girl, who warns him of the danger within the house.

Last of the Fulci trilogy and the weakest. The rate of blood and guts does not drop, the stupidity of the protagonists before the murderer either, but increases

So... Let's get this out of the way first. Bob is annoying as hell... End of story. The House by the Cemetery, on the other hand, is one of my favourite Fulci films. Generally creepy, with more of a focus on atmosphere than gore. Sure... There's gore here, and very good gore too (duh...Fulci), but it's a lot less gruesome than the other two films in the Gates of Hell trilogy. The acting is OK (at least the adults), and the story is, as most Fulci stories, wearing off towards the confusing sometimes, but is pretty decent as well. Should be both watched and collected by any fans of horror.
