One of the few action blockbusters you need your brain for! Like "Blood Diamonds" it is very disturbing and brutal but (as with BD) this helps to tell the story and make it more "believable". Cage does a good job (which is rare I think) as an unconscionable weapons dealer and Hawks an even better one as INTERPOL agent. Highly recommendable!

Agreed, this is my favorite Cage movie. The second one is Face Off, and the third is National Treasure. xP

Personally i think this is Nicolas Cage his best work. He plays the "business is business" driven Yuri Orlov perfectly. I really enjoyed the first part where we see the timeline of a bullet from being assembled and manufactured in Russia to smuggled to Africa to killing a boy no older than 15 in some town in Africa. This movie definitely belongs somewhere on the top 50 list of anyone who has one of those lists to begin with.
