Kingdom - Comments & Tips
LIKE TRAIN TO BUSAN BEFORE THERE WERE TRAINS.
Really enjoyed this one. Being a period drama is what lured me in, and I don''t wish to call it a zombie series nor compare it to TWD. The show is more than just a plagued medieval country and the fight against the diseased. Looking forward to the next season.
This is a show that proves there''s still life in zombies (pardon the pun). _Kingdom_ proudly wears the horror badge, and it''s undoubtedly deserved. In a time where the genre got stale and is plagued with jump scares, this little Korean gem manages to get under your skin and make you afraid to turn off the lights. I lost all my fingernails watching this... It you''re into horror, this is a must watch!
Game of Thrones in Korean way
This show has everything. The scenography is awesome! I believe the cultural aspects are respected too, though i am not an expert at all, just a feeling. Most importantly: THE PLOT. Is not some sort of shitty plot like: there''s zombies, let''s do stuff (yeah TWD). The plot is consistent, there are zombies and there is a reason, also their strenghts/weaknesses are defined, and we discover them with the characters. Is not 100% clear yet, but there is a sense of progress of the plot, not just a repetition of the same stupid mistakes and dumb characters. Every character here has his own story and personality and as of now, you''ll be surprised, IT MAKES SENSE. This show literally saved the zombie genre! Must watch.
As expected, Netflix axes its best shows, and funds silly dating series.
I had low expectations of this series but I wanted to give it a chance, I have not regretted it. Story told in great detail, excellently acted and the setting is simply extraordinary. It made me reevaluate this genre.
Refreshing take on the zombie-genre that, unlike other zombie shows, retains the tension and dread for the full season. There''s little to no interpersonal drama in this show and the drama there is is more political intrigue than anything else. The stakes are high from the first moment and what is used as shock in western zombie flicks and series is simply something that happens here... and that makes it all the more shocking. Can''t wait for season 2 as the plot-twist at the end is sure to allow for interesting storylines.
I loved the show. It popped up on my recommendations screen and instantly had me hooked. What I didn''t know was that I''d be much more than hooked with this show: **I love it**. I am not a huge fan of gore and zombies but after watching this, I am rethinking my preferences. The fantastic graphics and props added to the terribly mind-blowing acting and made it an awesome combo! Still I regret watching it all in a day because now I''ll have to wait a ~~_a year_~~ for the next season. Never mind, anything for preference and quality shows :wink:
**This show did remind and gave me some GOT''s vibe :smirk::** 1) the zombies (white walkers) :zombie: 2) zombies that only came during cold temperature (winter is coming) 3) the Haewon Cho clan (the Lannister) 4) the crown prince (Jon Snow) its enjoyable :love_you_gesture:
I fell in love with the show, weak start with amazing finish.
I''m not really a fan of the zombie genre and for me to say this it''s because it truly amazed me Kingdom is by far the best series of the genre
Great show. Has a much better underlying story than TWD. That underlying story reminds me of Game of Thrones. Put those two things together and there is a lot to like here! 8 out of 10.
A series between ''The Walking Dead'' and ''Game of Thrones''. I totally recommend it!
This show was fantastic! This is like what Game of Thrones should of been and Walking dead should of been. Can''t recommend it enough
